ASTONISHING Lack of Basic Human Instincts

Another dispatch from Zuccotti Park in The New York Post brings us this chilling quote:

She said that weeks earlier another woman was raped.

‘We don’t tell anyone,’ she said. ‘We handle it internally. I said too much already.’

Oh – My – God… How to even begin unpacking that? Knowing this, she stays? Knowing, for a fact, not as a rumor, but for a fact, that there have been rapes, she stays? And – this is the part that is really the most disturbing to contemplate – she’s somehow been socialized into this shocking group-think that ‘handling it internally’ is okay?  Add to that the Stockholm-syndrome like statement of fear that she’s ‘said too much already’?

Where are this girls’ parents?  Who are this girls’ parents?

She’s been socialized right out of her basic survival instincts.  She’s been socialized right out of social order – not regarding police as a proper authority!

That kind of thinking – in millions of 20-something useful idiots utterly unschooled in history – ought to scare the hell out of everyone.
