“Back Off”, Barnes? BITE ME.

“It is to everyone’s benefit that people back off…”

Thems is fightin’ words, girlfriend.

A former Obama Administration OFFICIAL, Melody Barnes – so not some back-bencher talking head – ACTUALLY said on national television (well, MSNBC so only the political class saw it and maybe 3 people outside the NY/DC corridor) that we should “back off” protesting Obamacare.

Way to pour gas on the flames, sister.

All it’s done is steel my resolve even deeper.

(Transcript/Video via Newsbusters:)

MELODY BARNES: It is to everyone’s benefit that people back off of what was the Reagan administration legacy that government is bad, government workers are bad and think about how we’re going to make this work because what we’ve seen time and time again with Katrina and moving forward is if we don’t have an effective federal government people get hurt. In fact people can die.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Hold on a second. why would I back off if I think health care policy is bad for the country in the the long run, the federal government is not competent enough to run it, and the launch has been terrible. Sam Stein asks the question are Republicans going to do their best to help this implementation? No, I don’t think they are. And I don’t think it means they are unpatriotic if they don’t. Obviously what happened over the past few weeks, Sam, absolutely idiotic and self-defeating but why should the Republicans say hey listen we want to help you implement a program that we think will end private insurance over the next decade? That goes against everything I believe and millions and millions of Americans believe.

“You Didn’t Build That” Healthcare.gov for 30M People to Handle Only 9M Did You Democrats? “Yes You Did!”

Uh… Houston, er, DC? We have a math problem.

A BIG one.

The Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida has made a startling admission.  Here’s the pull-quote from the Mediaite article on her (rambling) MSNBC appearance:

“After stumbling for a bit, Wasserman Schultz responded by attacking the question. ‘We’re eight days in and to be insisting on data being produced day by day for a six-month enrollment program, that — is a little bit unfair,’ she replied.  She said that there is good news in the fact that the servers which support HealthCare.Gov were only designed to handle 50,000 visitors… per day…”

Got that?

Fact #1 from the HEAD of the DNC:  The Obamacare website, now over a week old and stinking like a week-old fish, was built to handle traffic of “50,000” per day.

Fact #2 from the HEAD of the DNC:  The American people have “6 months” to sign up or they will be fined.

Time for some math:

6 (months) x 30 (days) = 180 days.

180 days x 50,000 = 9M.

The law was built for a so-called 30M uninsured.

I’m just a knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing Tea Partier but 30-9=21, right?

That’s 21 MILLION people who will be unable to even TRY to be in compliance, barring some supersonic upgrade.

And that’s not counting all the people thrown in to the exchanges due to being off-loaded by their employers via withdrawal of benefits/downsizing/reduced to part-time.

“You didn’t build that” suddenly takes on a whole new meaning.

They didn’t build that, alright. They didn’t build (at least!) 2/3’s the capacity necessary to handle the need.

Wow.

See her appearance here.

Sunstein Says Obama Can Ignore SCOTUS?

I’m not an attorney, so I’m a bit out of my depth here, but this 2006 paper by “the most dangerous man in America” appears to argue that the President can ignore The Supreme Court…  Please tell me if I am right, if you do, actually, plow through it.  I’ve only skimmed it very superficially.
Cass R. Sunstein – Beyond Marbury: The Executive’s Power To Say What the Law Is

How Much More Do You Need to Hear, America?

This President is not fit to inhabit his office. He is rogue. He is openly, nakedly contemptuous of our system of government.

He mounts an actual campaign, with an actual name “We Can’t Wait” announcing in bold headlines his intent to do an end run around one branch, 1/3 of our system of power, congress.

He stands in the Rose Garden yesterday daring the other 1/3 to tell him “no” via an adjudication of ObamaCare.

He has 26 states – more than half the country – suing him over any number of policies, most notably ObamaCare.

He has violated the rule of law so many times, breached ethics so grievously, they are literally too voluminous to list in a brief blog post – any ONE of which would have elicited SCREECHING HOWLS from the left had the very same things been said & done by a President with an “R” after his name.

This man is temperamentally unfit to lead this great nation. I happened to think he’s a dangerous narcissistic sociopath on top of it.

We’ve GOT to vote him out in November.

America’s life depends on it.
