#SpyGate – Short Story Form

The Federalist is out with an excellent story – The Facts Behind The Trump Tower Meeting Are Incriminating, But Not For Trump – laying absolute waste to the lie of Trump-Russia “collusion” you hear all day, every day, on every news channel not named “Fox.” (And even there you get some goofy-jons…)

It’s quite something, actually, what they’ve managed to pull off. They’ve (the Democrats & the media, but I repeat myself) managed to stick everything they’ve done on the other guy. And they’ve got the entire media save 10% dancing like the Rockettes to keep this narrative ball rolling. This is weapons-grade projection, my friends. Had Goebbels had the internet & cable television you’d be calling me Frau Annie – and believing the Jews invented eugenics and killed the themselves to perpetuate & preserve the master race – and, being Jews, made a profit doing it. (That’s bitter sarcasm, folks. Don’t go bat guano.)

So herewith is a heavily edited* version of Willis L. Krumholz’s excellent July 30, 2018 piece. You can find the entire thing here, or if the link doesn’t work, copy & paste the url and head over there that way.  http://thefederalist.com/2018/07/30/facts-behind-trump-tower-meeting-incriminating-not-trump/

*The Federalist, rightly, deserves the clicks. I just wanted to give you the guts of it, enough to get you over there to read the whole thing.

The Facts Behind The Trump Tower Meeting Are Incriminating, But Not For Trump ~ The real colluders with Russia are the Democrats, intelligence agencies, and corporate media. The facts about the Trump Tower meeting only reinforce that.

By Willis L. Krumholz

According to “sources with knowledge” talking to CNN—whatever that means—Michael Cohen is prepared to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that Donald Trump knew in advance about the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr. and Russians. The president still denies knowing about that meeting beforehand.

Don Jr. was emailed by a British music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who promised that the Russian “crown prosecutor” had information that would “incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia.” When the meeting took place, in walked two Russian nationals, Rinat Akhmetshin and Natalia Veselnitskaya, who proceeded to talk to Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and others about how Americans could once again adopt Russian children, if only the Magnitsky Act were repealed. Eyes surely rolled, and the meeting was ended. Kushner even messaged his assistant to try to come up with an excuse to leave the meeting early.

For those who belong to the religious cult of Trump-Russia collusion, this meeting is prima facie evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia to rig the 2016 election. One of the sacraments of this cult is that its adherents wake up every morning and hope that on this day, just maybe, Trump will finally be done away with. CNN is of course central to this practice. [snip]

The truth is that it doesn’t matter whether Trump knew of this meeting or not, or whether Mueller can ever prove that he did. Don Jr. and his associates did nothing wrong in setting up this meeting. But the events surrounding the meeting are damning for the intelligence agencies, the media, and the Democrat Party. [snip]

Keep in mind that during this time nobody knew that Russia had interfered in anything, aside from the regular deluge of phishing emails common to both Russian and Chinese hackers that were directed at both Democrats and Republicans. [snip]

Somebody colluded with Russia, and it wasn’t Donald Trump. Veselnitskaya and Akhmetshin were working to repeal the Magnitsky Act for the Kremlin with none other than Fusion GPS, the same opposition research firm the DNC and Clinton campaign had hired in April 2016 to dig up—or create—ties between Trump and Russia.

Fusion’s Glenn Simpson met with Veselnitskaya and Akhmetshin both before and after that Trump Tower meeting. Simpson told Congress he had no idea that the two Russians were meeting with the Trump team, but Fusion GPS even provided the materials and handouts for the meeting in question.

Three days after the June 9 Trump Tower meeting, the public learned the DNC had been breached. [snip]

Former CIA Director John Brennan took that dossier, full of what is likely Russian disinformation straight from the Kremlin, and shopped it around to Congress. Brennan also pushed the FBI to investigate Trump. The FBI’s Peter Strzok opened an investigation based on this Russian disinformation.

Former top Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie, worked at Fusion GPS, another avenue by which Fusion laundered its weaponized Russian disinformation into the upper echelons of the U.S. government. James Comey’s FBI violated the spirit and the letter of the law and spied on a former member of Trump’s campaign—Carter Page—using the unverified dossier. Once the warrant to spy on Page was secured, the “two-hop rule” allowed American intelligence officials to delve into much if not all of the Trump campaign’s communications.

Most important to team Clinton, Steele and Simpson vociferously shopped the dossier to American journalists, which our intelligence agencies suspiciously ignored, so stories would publish before the election about Trump’s nefarious ties to Russia. Because these stories said the American government was investigating Trump, they lent the Clinton campaign’s talking points on Trump and Russia—meant to distract from the treatment of Bernie Sanders and Clinton’s integrity issues—legitimacy. If that isn’t election interference, then what is?

All the Real Russian Colluders So Far Are Democrats

Let all that sink in. The Democrats hired Fusion GPS to find ties between Trump and Russia, primarily by means of a dossier sourced by Russians tied to the Kremlin. Our so-called intelligence agencies used this dossier to spy on the Trump campaign and mislead an American court, trampling over Americans’ civil liberties to do so. At the same time Fusion GPS was working for the Democrats, Fusion GPS was working for the Kremlin, and with the Russians that showed up at that Trump Tower meeting.

Those who have worked with Fusion GPS have worked with a shadowy group that has acted as an arm of the Kremlin seeking to interfere in U.S. politics.
Because of this, any association with Fusion GPS should be toxic. Those who have worked with Fusion GPS have worked with a shadowy group that has acted as an arm of the Kremlin seeking to interfere in U.S. politics and elections. Yet a lot of people in the Beltway establishment have their hands stained by dealings with Fusion GPS.

The intelligence agencies are stained by Fusion GPS through their use of the Steele dossier. So are the DNC and the Clinton people. And so are a great deal of journalists. Perhaps this explains why the media is so desperately invested in obscuring the fact that the FBI spied on the Trump campaign using Russian disinformation. Maybe this is why the media and many establishmentarians parrot the talking points of James Clapper, Brennan, and Comey. All have at the very least been duped by Russian disinformation.

Even worse, there are still Democrats and so-called journalists working with Fusion GPS to this very day. And the problems with Fusion are no secret. This is a firm with a detailed history of working to spin and gloss over corruption, including for the regimes in Russia and Venezuela.

As Lee Smith has noted, Fusion GPS is tied at the hip to a host of journalists, including Atlantic reporter and MSNBC/NBC contributor Natasha Bertrand, and NBC’s national security reporter Ken Dilanian (a.k.a. “Fusion Ken”). One of the primary goals of creating the Steele dossier, after all, was to shop it to journalists who would then “report” nefarious ties between Trump and Russia before the election. Fusion GPS did just this, and so-called journalists bought it.

Many journalists have continued to run Fusion stories after it was known that Fusion had worked with the Kremlin. Fusion has even made payments to journalists, although the identities of the journalists paid and the extent of this corruption are yet to be discovered. [snip]

Our republic is on the line if unelected bureaucracies can continue to ignore Congress and act as they please. … Stop treating the media like something other than Democrats looking to obscure the truth…

Trump, Comey, & What America Saw

VDH is one of my favorite writers. He’s not a casual read. Every word matters. He can pack more in a sentence more than most writers can in an entire paragraph. I’d call him a poet but he’s aim isn’t feeling or beauty, it’s water for a thirsty brain.

What follows is what matters since January 20th. Not the garbage the media has been feeding you. This. THIS is what matters. Had he included the unmasking scandal, this would be 100% comprehensive. As it is, it’s still a masterpiece.

Enjoy.

Beware of Narratives and Misinformation by Victor Davis Hanson
September 7, 2017 via National Review Online

Narratives surrounding the DNC hack & Antifa reveal media bias and government bureaucracy at their worst.

U.S. intelligence agencies said Russia was responsible for hacking Democratic National Committee e-mail accounts, leading to the publication of about 20,000 stolen e-mails on WikiLeaks.

But that finding was reportedly based largely on the DNC’s strange outsourcing of the investigation to a private cybersecurity firm. Rarely does the victim of a crime first hire a private investigator whose findings later form the basis of government conclusions.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is many things. But so far he has not been caught lying about the origin of the leaked documents that came into his hands. He has insisted for well over a year that the Russians did not provide him with the DNC e-mails.

When it was discovered that the e-mails had been compromised, then–DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz weirdly refused to allow forensic detectives from the FBI to examine the DNC server to probe the evidence of the theft. Why did the FBI accept that refusal?

That strange behavior was not as bizarre as Wasserman Schultz’s later frenzied efforts to protect her information-technology specialist, Imran Awan, from Capitol Police and FBI investigations. Both agencies were hot on Awan’s trail for unlawfully transferring secure data from government computers, and also for bank and federal-procurement fraud.

So far, the story of the DNC hack is not fully known, but it may eventually be revealed that it involves other actors beyond just the Russians.

There is not much left to the media myth of James Comey as dutiful FBI director, unjustly fired by a partisan and vindictive President Donald Trump. A closer look suggests that Comey may have been the most politicized, duplicitous, and out-of-control FBI director since J. Edgar Hoover.

During the 2016 election, Comey, quite improperly, was put into the role of prosecutor, judge, and jury in the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server while she was secretary of state. That proved a disaster. Comey has admitted under oath to deliberately leaking his own notes — which were likely government property — to the media to prompt the appointment of a special counsel. That ploy worked like clockwork, and by a strange coincidence it soon resulted in the selection of his friend, former FBI director Robert Mueller.

Comey earlier had assured the public that his investigation of Clinton had shown no prosecutable wrongdoing (a judgment that in normal times would not be the FBI’s to make). It has since been disclosed that Comey offered that conclusion before he had even interviewed Clinton.

That inversion suggests that Comey had assumed that whatever he found out about Clinton would not change the reality that the Obama administration would probably drop the inquiry anyway — so Comey made the necessary ethical adjustments.

Comey was also less than truthful when he testified that there had been no internal FBI communications concerning the infamous meeting between Clinton’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, and then–attorney general Loretta Lynch on an airport tarmac. In fact, there was a trail of FBI discussion about that supposedly secret rendezvous.

Before he fired Comey, Trump drafted a letter outlining the source of his anger. But it seemed to have little to do with the obstruction of justice.

Instead, Trump’s anguished letter complained about Comey’s private assurances that the president was not under FBI investigation, which were offered at about the same time a winking-and-nodding Comey would not confirm that reality to the press, thus leaving the apparently deliberate impression that a compromised president was in legal jeopardy.

There is also a media fantasy about the Antifa street protesters. Few have criticized their systematic use of violence. But when in history have youths running through the streets decked out in black with masks, clubs, and shields acted nonviolently?

Antifa rioters in Charlottesville were praised by progressives for violently confronting a few dozen creepy white supremacists, Klansmen, and neo-Nazis. The supremacists were pathetic losers without any public or political support for their odious views, and they were condemned by both political parties. Yet Antifa’s use of violence was compared perversely by some progressives to American soldiers storming the beaches on D-Day.

Later, Antifa thuggery in Boston and Berkeley against free speech and against conservative groups without ties to white supremacists confirmed that the movement was fascistic in nature.

It was recently disclosed that the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security had warned the Obama administration in 2016 that Antifa was a domestic terrorist organization that aimed to incite violence during street protests. That stark assessment and Antifa’s subsequent violence make the recent nonchalance of local police departments with regard to Antifa thuggery seem like an abject dereliction of duty.

Doubts about official narratives of the DNC leaks and the errant behavior of James Comey, and misinformation about the violent extremists of Antifa, illustrate media bias — not to mention entrenched government bureaucracies that are either incompetent, ethically compromised, or completely politicized.

“You Didn’t Build That” Healthcare.gov for 30M People to Handle Only 9M Did You Democrats? “Yes You Did!”

Uh… Houston, er, DC? We have a math problem.

A BIG one.

The Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida has made a startling admission.  Here’s the pull-quote from the Mediaite article on her (rambling) MSNBC appearance:

“After stumbling for a bit, Wasserman Schultz responded by attacking the question. ‘We’re eight days in and to be insisting on data being produced day by day for a six-month enrollment program, that — is a little bit unfair,’ she replied.  She said that there is good news in the fact that the servers which support HealthCare.Gov were only designed to handle 50,000 visitors… per day…”

Got that?

Fact #1 from the HEAD of the DNC:  The Obamacare website, now over a week old and stinking like a week-old fish, was built to handle traffic of “50,000” per day.

Fact #2 from the HEAD of the DNC:  The American people have “6 months” to sign up or they will be fined.

Time for some math:

6 (months) x 30 (days) = 180 days.

180 days x 50,000 = 9M.

The law was built for a so-called 30M uninsured.

I’m just a knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing Tea Partier but 30-9=21, right?

That’s 21 MILLION people who will be unable to even TRY to be in compliance, barring some supersonic upgrade.

And that’s not counting all the people thrown in to the exchanges due to being off-loaded by their employers via withdrawal of benefits/downsizing/reduced to part-time.

“You didn’t build that” suddenly takes on a whole new meaning.

They didn’t build that, alright. They didn’t build (at least!) 2/3’s the capacity necessary to handle the need.

Wow.

See her appearance here.

Obama / Feinstein 2012?

If Joe’s gotta go, and Hillary’s a no-go, then Senator Diane Feinstein would be a formidable choice.

She’s pissed at Obama for the egregious, (I say treasonous) leaks over which she has oversight as a senior member of the Intelligence Committee. I believe she also sits on Foreign Relations. Even apart from her impressive credentials and her (liberal!) politics, however, she’s no intellectual slouch. She’s been a solid Democrat, solid Senator, and gracious leader. She would be an excellent choice (dammit).

It was also her house in Georgetown where the deal was done to make Hillary Secretary of State and not the VP in late 2008. It was her dining room, reportedly, where those discussions took place.

She was also a latecomer to ObamaCare and had to be dragged over the finish line. She negotiated more water for the Central Valley farmers who were drying up due to the stupid Delta Smelt.

All of this is indicative of a close relationship & a covenant of trust between Obama & the Senator. The kind of relationship where he might call her and say “If you lay off me about my treasonous leaks, I’ll put you on the ticket.”

Remember where you heard it first.

And WE'RE Dangerous?

Democrats had a little get together in Florida over the weekend.

And not for the first time, a high-ranking Administration official referred to NEVER-ARRESTED, TOTALLY-LAWFUL Tea Party protesters as ‘tea baggers’ – a term the President himself used during an interview with Jonathen Alter.

‘Tea-bagging’ for those of you uninitiated is the act of one man placing his scrotum in another man’s mouth.

Got it?  Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, speaking in Florida this weekend, chose that charming term.  You know, Hilda… honored member of the Democratic Socialists of America, Hilda Solis.

So while YOUR PRESIDENT & HIS MINIONS refer to FELLOW AMERICANS with this VILE TERM…

…They are INCITING CIVIL UNREST… while characterizing us in yet ANOTHER utterly unfair way:

State and national Democratic Party leaders told Florida Democrats Saturday they can re-elect President Obama and U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson by rallying voters in a ‘citizen revolt’ against Republican Party policies being dictated by ‘a brutally fanatic right-wing group of extremists’ in Washington and Tallahassee.

Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, every DIVDE & CONQUER despot before him would be so proud of Bam-Bam, dontcha think?

The story is here.
