It’s hard to know what to say. I’m sorry. I’m thunderstruck. Sad. Fearful. I don’t believe in any one ‘brand’ of God, so I am reluctant to endorse that we pray for divine providence, but what else is there to do? Those poor, isolated people. They are surrounded on all sides by people who have been imbued since birth with hatred for them. Nations full of people who want to kill them. People who will try to kill them.

I’m so very sorry, Israel. May all the powers of heaven and earth which reside in the light of goodness embrace you and keep you safe.
