What's the Over/Under on Obama Golfing this WKND?

I’m watching the W.H. Daily Briefing right now and Carney opened with mention that the weather is gorgeous in D.C., at 6o degrees.  If that holds (and I have no idea what the forecast is, as I am in New England) will it be one, or two rounds of golf this weekend for Bam?

Guess that depends on fundraising commitments.

The Obama Doctrine of Foreign Policy

h/t IBD – Michael Ramirez Cartoon

The only thing wrong with this depiction of Obama is that the fear he expresses is ours, not his.  Obama, I have no doubt, believes that we can drop our military pants and continue to be safe behind the firewall of his awesomeness.  Handy thing, sociopathic narcissism.  Makes it possible to drone bomb half the f*cking Middle-East without a single declaration of war on any of the multiple sovereign nations he turns into rubble, and still go to sleep at night sure they don’t mind.  Also helps you sleep at night when you make yourself judge, jury, and executioner of American citizens.  Yup.  Sure is nifty to be Bam-Bam.

Transcript/Evidence in Obama/Georgia Birther Case

UPDATE II – January 31, 2012: Came across this sort of all-purpose clearinghouse site for all things birther. If you want to drop into the vortex and not work for a couple of hours, knock yourself out.  It’s a good jumping off point to all the big sites on the subject.

UPDATE I – January 31, 2012:  The link to the transcript is below, but here’s a link to the evidence submitted to the court in support of the testimony.  I defy you to look at it and believe Obama’s bullish*t nativity story.  It’s pretty damning stuff.

I hate the term “birther” but everybody knows what it means, so I used it.

At bottom is a link to the official court transcript of the hearing last Thursday in Georgia; the very first time evidence supporting doubt about Obama’s fantastic nativity story was presented in open court to be adjudged on its merits.  Don’t believe this bullcr*p that “thousands” of case have come before. Not true.  They got tossed before a scrap of paper was put before a judge. This is the first time evidence was put before a judge, to be adjudged on the merits, not tossed PRIOR to a speck of evidence being seen because of the soft-shoe of fancy-pants lawyering.  Again:  this is the first time evidence has been put before a judge.  It’s remarkable that nobody in the MSM gave it coverage, other than to mock it, late at night, if at all.

Also, again, for the record, I do not subscribe to the theory that the problem with Mr. Obama’s records is that he is not a “natural born citizen” due to the British citizenship of his father, nor that he was born somewhere other than in the United States. I absolutely believe he was born in Hawaii.  It’s AFTER that the problem begins. My own pet theory is that he was adopted in Indonesia, thereby voiding his original cert, so the one he released is “fake but accurate” if you know what I mean – and I think you do!  Links to my previous posts on the matter are here & here & here.

SO!  Here is the link to the transcript.

"Get the hell out" of the United States of America!

One can quibble with his endorsement of Newt Gingrich, and I suspect it’s motivated powerfully by the primal scream Newt brings out in all of us, for good or ill (!), but Representative West ain’t bashful about the true nature of the fight.  Wow.  Enjoy this clip.  It’s from this past weekend, from a speech down in Florida. It’s only 2 1/2 minutes & worth it.

The Corner Cafe, Marshfield, MA

My husband just took us out to breakfast at The Corner Cafe here in Marshfield, MA.  We’ve lived here for better than a dozen years, driven by it hundreds and hundreds of times, and never set foot in it until last week.  My husband had gone there between business appointments and came home raving, insisting we all go – ASAP – which meant this morning!  He’s rather like a freight train on these matters, so it’s easier to just give in, you know? Getting 3 teenage girls to breakfast on a Sunday morning by 8am ain’t exactly popular, but we love him, so…

Well, are we glad!  I’m not a big breakfast eater, but he is, so when he says they have a breakfast menu to die for, we pay attention.  Wow!  Really creative but also familiar comfy all at the same time! And big-BIG yummy!  Highly recommended!

It was also another opportunity for us to remember and appreciate anew how lucky we are to live in a New England beach town.  It’s exactly the kind of place people save up for to spend a week’s vacation in the summer, then scatter to the winds and reminisce about “that little place we had breakfast” and how “good it was” and swear they will return.  It is just such a place, right here in my own backyard. Damn!  I’m lucky!

(Over the hill and through the woods… is home.  Just around the bend.)
